I heard a rumor that a new pro tour is in the works, where the pros have to play persimmon and classic blades. Being a player of vintage gear myself at times, I thought it would be an interesting tour to follow.
Could the modern tour players shoot 65 with small persimmon heads and muscleback irons like the pros did in the past? Does it take a different kind of golf swing? Would a new crop of hero's rise from a more traditional version of golf?
Any old timers around here?
