 | July 17, 2010, 5:48 pm - (1 year ago) So I've been playing after a 6 year break or so, for exactly 1 month now. I've decided I'm going to take up the sport seriously, as I love playing it, and can't walk away from something when I know it could be better (which my play DEFINITELY could be!)
I play usually 2-3 times a week, at dusk (the local GC does 'twilight', after 7.30 you can play until 10 for £8. Quite reasonable, considering I've had the entire course to myself a couple of times.
Because of the timeframe and the fact I normally play with another person, usually I only get 9-10 holes in.
Since pretty much exactly 1 month ago, I've played golf around 10 times, and the last 7 times in a row I have played the front 9 at my local, Gilnahirk GC (Par 33 for F9 and 33 (67 total) for the B9).
I got MS Excel out and plotted a graph to see my progress, which appears to be good. As in, I'm bringing my average down.
What I'd like to know is how this compares to the progress of others who are also reintroducing themselves back in to Golf? Would this be considered fast/slow/good/bad rate of progress?
Anyone else keep these sorts of graphs?
Cheers,
P.
These numbers apply only to the front 9.
