Many people pass through Kansas and never stop. Bad mistake. Kansas offers some of the nices golf courses to play. But the real secret is the cost.
I like to play at Chisholm Trail Golf and Fitness Center in Abilene Kansas. This is an 18 hole links golf course set among the prairie grass and sloe plum bushes. The staff is very friendly, they offer carts for rent, a club house with food and drinks.
You can play 18 holes of golf with a cart for $25.00. it is located just off interstate 70, which is a quick on and off just outside town.
The lay out of the course was designed and built by Dr John Thayer and friends. first time players are often surprised by beauty of the landscape. The course has a unique green which is square. Two of the short par threes are a difficult challenge. The fairways and the greens are well manicured and maintained.
