Beginner golfer and new member

Hi my name is Mike and I live in the southwestern Virginia area. I am new to golf even though I am 41yrs old. I always worked too much when I was younger and never took the chance to try golf out. My mom's husband is a huge golf fanatic and was trying to get me into the game. I kept putting him off by telling him "oh man I'm a leftie so I don't have anybody to borrow clubs from." A couple of days later I stopped by and a friend of his that he plays with had given him an old set of his for me to have. So I didn't have any excuse anymore. It didn't take very long for me to get hooked. I spend at least a couple of hours outside everyday trying to better my swing.
So that's the basics folks.
